DVM, Emergency & Critical Care
Dr. Cora Hollomon has spent the majority of her life in Las Cruces, New Mexico, where she obtained her Bachelor of Science in Animal Science from New Mexico State University. She then attended St. Matthew’s University in the Cayman Islands where she took advantage of the opportunities to work with exotic species to help fulfill her dream of becoming an aquatic animal medicine veterinarian. She completed her clinical year of study at the University of Illinois and graduated from St. Matthew’s with her DVM in 2016. Her primary interests include the physiology and pathology of animal medicine and disease, as well as veterinary medical research, and she is proud to join the team of veterinarians at 1st Pet as a small animal intern.
When not at work Dr. Hollomon enjoys studying for her Master of Science in Fisheries and Aquatic Sciences, running, cooking, baking, and spending time with her cat, Benedict, whom she adopted when she lived on Grand Cayman.
