Alisa Reniker

Dr. Alisa Reniker graduated Magna Cum Laude from Arizona State University and earned her DVM from Oklahoma State University in 1998. She has practiced exclusively in emergency and critical care medicine ever since, gaining experience in both university and private practice settings.

After completing her residency and board certification through the University of Missouri, Dr. Reniker served as a Clinical Assistant Professor, teaching and mentoring future veterinarians. She returned to Arizona in 2006 to establish the Critical Care department at 1st Pet Veterinary Centers, where she now serves as Medical Director.

A long-time member of the American College of Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care, Dr. Reniker has held leadership roles and contributed research on topics such as heatstroke, sepsis, and rattlesnake envenomation.

Outside of work, she enjoys horseback riding, competitive trail riding, and spending time with her beloved pugs.
