Dr. Daniel Guastella earned his B.S. in Marine and Molecular Biology from the Florida Institute of Technology, then worked in neuroscience research at Johns Hopkins Hospital before completing his DVM at Kansas State University. He went on to complete an internship at the University of Missouri-Columbia and a three-year surgical residency at Red Bank Veterinary Hospital in New Jersey. He is board-certified in small animal surgery by the American College of Veterinary Surgeons.
Dr. Guastella has contributed to research on osteoarthritis, meniscal healing, Parkinson’s disease, and cerebral ischemia, with publications in leading scientific journals. His professional interests include arthroscopy, minimally invasive fracture repair, angular limb deformity correction, and canine cruciate ligament disease. He offers advanced surgical options such as tibial tuberosity advancement (TTA) using the latest minimally invasive techniques.
At home, Dr. Guastella enjoys life with his four dogs, four cats, two horses, and a 20-year-old iguana.
