Dr. Linnea Nixon, a graduate of the University of Missouri’s College of Veterinary Medicine. Born and raised in Washington State, she came to Arizona to get away from the snowy Midwest winters and take advantage of the busy emergency setting that 1st Pet offers. Originally planning to do small animal general practice, veterinary school caused her interests to change from primary care, then equine ambulatory, and finally settling on small animal emergency.
In her spare time, Dr. Nixon enjoys reading, board games, hiking and camping. She shares two cats, Scout and Artemis, and a deaf Australian Shepherd named Casper with her husband Josh.
