A veterinary Internal Medicine Specialist is an individual that a received more advanced training in the study of diseases involving the internal structures of the body. This includes diagnosing and treating diseases affecting the heart, lungs, digestive system, hormones, urinary system, and hematologic (blood) systems, as well as oncologic (cancerous), infectious and immune-mediated diseases.

Whether you’ve been referred to confirm a diagnosis, or to diagnose and treat an unusual or difficult problem, we will work as part of your pets’ medical team in conjunction with your primary veterinarian to determine the best course of action for your pet.

Dr. Shery Babyak, our Board Certified Veterinary Internist, has a special interest  in Immune mediated diseases. Once diagnosed,  Dr. Babyak manages the treatment of these diseases after diagnosis and offers treatment adjustments to maintain your pet’s quality of life.
