DVM | 1st Pet Director

Dr. Randy Spencer, Hospital Director and owner of 1st Pet Veterinary Centers, graduated from Arizona State University with a Bachelor of Science degree, before attending Colorado State University where he earned his degree in veterinary medicine. He purchased American Pet Center – the first of the locations that would eventually become 1st Pet Veterinary Centers – in August of 1989. In the years since then, he has built that one practice into a locally owned and operated chain of general practice, specialty, and emergency veterinary hospitals.

Dr. Spencer has special interests in internal medicine, dentistry, soft tissue surgery, ultrasound, and practice management. He is active in his church, and he and his wife have four daughters, one dog, and one horse.
