What’s your favorite part about working at 1st Pet?
As maintenance my job is never the same. Although I do have a lot of duties that must be done every day, my schedule of events so to speak is always different. Some may find this frustrating but when you take in the whole picture of whats going on inside the 4 walls with emergency care, general practice , physical therapy, and training of students, it becomes a challenge every day to get things done. When I leave after my shift knowing the place is up and running great and its clean, I feel good about myself and know my team (co-workers of techs and Doctors) appreciate my work.
Every one I come in contact with as employees of 1st Pet are always happy, bright and try to always make it a fun day. Although always professional and respectful we have an atmosphere of fun and joking between each other. With the stress techs and doctors can get, it is rewarding to say something that can make them stop and just chuckle and smile for a moment.
Management here at 1st pet is another plus. They actually do care! From my immediate supervisor/ hospital manager, to the owner of the company, all involved really show that they want me to succeed and enjoy working here. Pay and benefits here are better than many other places and they are very fair with time off.
From a maintenance perspective I would recommend anyone looking for work in this field consider 1st Pet.
