What’s your favorite part about working at 1st Pet?
As a small town North Dakota girl, I have always wanted to get out and find life somewhere new. I randomly searched veterinary hospitals in AZ and 1st Pet was one of the first to pop up from my search. After sending my resume to 1st Pet, I received a phone call asking if I could come in for an interview. The next day I booked a flight, came down for an interview, was invited to come on as a team member, and haven’t looked back since.
I feel very lucky and grateful to have found 1st Pet Veterinary Centers. I started very green coming straight from my externship, and have learned SO much here. I started out in General Practice, loved it, but needed more of a challenge. After a while I moved to emergency overnight shifts. There I learned a whole new world of veterinary skills. From there, I moved around to other emergency shifts and have only continued to grow and learn.
Not only that, but I have made some of the best friends in my life and even consider a good handful of co-workers to be like family to me. 1st Pet has been my home, my family, for 7 years now. I will forever be grateful for this company.
