Ryan Lunt
DVM, Emergency & Critical Care | Hospital Director, North Valley
Dr. Ryan Lunt, a native of Ft. Collins, Colorado, received his DVM degree from Colorado State University. He knew he wanted to be a veterinarian from the time he was a young boy following around his father, who was a large animal veterinarian.
Dr. Lunt worked as a veterinary assistant before earning his DVM, and spent a year in general practice before joining the 1st Pet Veterinary Centers team. Dr. Lunt has special interests in emergency medicine, critical care, ultrasound, and client communication, and he loves to see how pets enrich the lives of their owners.
When he is not overseeing the operations at the North Valley 1st Pet location, Dr. Lunt spends his time with his wife and three children, 2 dogs, and 2 horses. Family time usually includes plenty of outdoor activities and sports.
“My goal is to provide the best quality of medicine and care for each patient. At the same time I think it is important to educate the client in a way that it allows them to take better care of their pet and make decisions that are in the pet’s best interest.”
