Dr. Heather Sanchez grew up in Southern California’s high desert and attended California State Long Beach as a President’s Scholar to earn her Bachelor’s of Science in Chemistry.

She attended Iowa State University’s School of Veterinary Medicine and decided to stay in Iowa for a few years at a combination general practice, emergency, and referral hospital where she split her time between emergency medicine and general practice. In the end, the desert lifestyle became too appealing to ignore and she convinced her husband to move to the Phoenix area. Her special interests include emergency medicine and soft tissue surgery.

When she is not caring for the furry family members of others, she can be found on a golf course, at the gym, experimenting in the kitchen, or snuggling with her boxer mixes Sandy and Hozel.
